Gaming supervisors look over gaming operations and staff in an assigned area. Circulating among the table games, they ensure that all stations and games are attended to for each shift. Gaming supervisors must have clear leadership qualities and good communication skills. They need these abilities both to manage staff excellently and to greet guests in order to establish return visits. Practically all casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. No matter their their educational background, however, many supervisors gain expertise in other casino jobs before moving into supervisory desks because an understanding of games and casino operations is important for these employees.
